The German-American School of Ft. Lauderdale's Summer Camp Program offers a variety of
indoor and outdoor activities, as well as opportunities for fun, friendship, and exploration for
children ages 1 - 9 in a fun, relaxed, full-immersion German language setting.
Weekly themes are prepared using a project-based learning approach, which emphasizes
learning by doing, hands-on activities, and problem-solving. This method fosters
independence and allows children to explore each topic in an engaging and enjoyable way.
Elements of the Montessori Method are also incorporated into our camp curriculum. Our program
does not group children by specific ages and instead encourages the development of individual
abilities, such as making choices, working collaboratively, helping and sharing with others,
and taking on responsibilities - all within a full-immersion German environment.
We offer Ice Cream Day on Wednesdays, Splash/Water Day on Thursdays, and Pizza Day on
Fridays!
Our highly trained camp teachers work collaboratively to develop a fun and enriching
curriculum that takes full advantage of everything summer has to offer.
This year's weekly themes include: Safari, Pirates, Space, Save the Planet, Circus, The World
of Colors, Florida's Beaches & Ocean, Science/Farm, Dinosaurs, and Fairy Tales.
